Anyway, so I had been told that, but again, you know, it was also, it was also frantically parts of information was coming, coming back and forth and, yeah.

I rang my brother's wife the next day.

Was it the next day or later on that day?

I can't remember because the time difference in Texas.

And I was speaking to her and the neighbor, I remember the neighbor saying to me,

quite distinctly saying, you know, my brother's wife was so upset on the phone call and the neighbor had said, Tara, this happened so much over here.

And I just remember even that comment.

And I just remember thinking, how is that even a comment?

Like, how is that?

And I understand she's a lovely woman and she's probably trying to make me feel better and understand it more because obviously we have, you know, guns over here.

It's just...

You know, obviously our laws and everything are so different and over there, everybody, most people own a gun.

And I just remember thinking, that's such a bizarre thing for people over there to just, you know, it's so bizarre that this happened so much.

But I was like,

But this is happening to me.

This is my niece.

This is not just anybody else.

And I remember just feeling like I was living almost through a Netflix documentary.
