I don't know who the reader is or I wouldn't know how to sort of start to think about the reader.

That's just too weird to get into in a way.

How do you mean?

I mean, I know at some point I'm conscious of it being something then, becoming something.

But I'm the reader, I suppose, then.

You know what I mean?

And if I like it, I'm quite happy with that.

Because I can't second guess what someone else is going to like.

And I don't want to think, you know, it'd just be pointless me trying to think about that, really.

So I suppose I sort of make a kind of a book

that I say would have been really pleased to have come across when I was much younger and got very frustrated with the books that were available to me at the time.
