And we were just talking about a piece of historical fiction, but the next book we are going to talk about is very, very much about the present moment.
It is Discipline by the Palestinian-Egyptian author, lawyer and academic Randa Abdel-Fattah.
And of course, I think it's pretty clear that this novel has made more headlines than any other book on this year's shortlist, Sarah.
We will get to that controversy in a moment.
But I do want to talk about the content of this novel because I think a lot of people have had opinions on discipline without actually reading the book.
So...
Discipline is about two Muslim characters living in Australia.
One is a guy called Ashraf.
He's an academic.
The other is Hannah.
She's a journalist.
And this book is about the implications of speaking out or not speaking out when they are confronted with censorship.
So when the book begins, there's a teenager at a local Sydney Islamic school who has been charged with terrorism offences.
