I really like the way you kind of sweep from one character's perspective to another.
It's almost like a dance on the page and it feels very unique when you read it.
How did you land on that storytelling style?
Speaking of, you know, ruining people's day, how do you decide when it's time to kill off a beloved character?
And now that Slow Horses is such a hit, I do wonder if there are actors coming to you saying, don't kill my character, keep them alive, I want to keep this job.
We've been joking about what a miserable series this sounds like, but of course it's so funny.
I don't normally do this, but I have pulled out some of my favourite lines from Clowntown that I'm just going to rattle off quite quickly.
The sky was as blue as an egg, provided the egg was blue.
Great line.
He was wearing an immaculately tended goatee these days, which, like all goatees, was a bit of a shame.

The royal family apparently never travel en masse in the same vehicle.
