You can't have late-night talk shows that are claiming that they're just comedy shows and only allow Democrats on as guests to basically make their political arguments on the show.
And that's what they do.
And so this idea, it feels like a rig job, like that he was daring, that is Colbert, was daring his bosses to not allow Tallarico on.
I would argue that, look, I'm no defender of Jasmine Crockett,
But I would argue if they're going to have on Tallarico the day before the primary, that they should also have to have on Jasmine Crockett.
Not only the other Republican candidate, whomever that ends up being, but the other Democrat as well.
That feels like a fair and impartial way to handle this.
So I'd be upset if I was Jasmine Crockett.
Which you should be drinking right now like I am.
Well, look, this audience, to its credit, buys books in a substantial way.
So you probably have noticed over the five years that we've been doing the show since, and again, we began the show talking about this, but today is the five-year anniversary of Rush passing, and we have a special one-hour show that is up, and
Producer Allie said a super nice thing.
She said, like, both you and Buck are the kind of sons that Rush would have had if he had had kids, which is a super complimentary, nice thing to say from Producer Allie and much of the staff that spent years and years working with Rush.
Yeah, it's a very nice thing to say.
But that's a credit to Rush and the show and the fact that people are intellectually curious.
But you may well have noticed that we have a lot of authors on because it is hard to sell books and ideas matter and making strong arguments matters.
And so I think we have something in front of people.
