The strikeout is something that I think don't get enough attention, especially in crucial situations like
You can't strike out.
And when you think about the big boys in this lineup, I think that's the one thing I kind of look at is like, you're good enough, in my opinion, to not strike out in some of these situations because I've seen you be really good.
Now, do you go to trials and tribulations of a season?
Yes.
That's the part where I have to chill out a little bit as a former player and go, no, you've been there.
You struck out in some key situations.
But then I go look at my numbers, and I hit 280 with runners on the pitch because I know how important those moments were.
So I challenge the really good lineup that I see now on a consistent basis, but a lot throughout the season when I'm here working and grinding.
I challenge that to be something that they pay a ton of attention to is utilize all three of your pitches.
Don't take pitches when you have runners on the pitch.
You know, come out hacking, O-O, because for me, those are moments that get you into that bat that allow you to be, you know, the player that I believe that, you know, that hard of a lineup can be.
So when you see Happer start to get going and you see that bat coming through the zone like it is, this is when you want these guys swinging the most because when they're swinging through the zone, they can do some damage.
Listen, I'm going to agree with you because I've been, you know, I love Nico at the top.
You know, I think that, you know, he has such a.
just a great mind and a great feel for, you know, hitting with runners in scoring position.
Like he just, he does things where even if he makes an out, you see the attempt, like the, you know, he'll foul the ball off to the right side.
And I'm going, well, that had, you know, that had something behind it.
And that was a game plan.
Like I'm going to go to the right side no matter what.
