It's balance. Yeah, it's balance. I'm a lover. Although I would say I skew toward hater because like I enjoy critique and I enjoy just kind of like looking at the sides of things that people aren't thinking about. So maybe I would skew towards hater. But a lover at heart, I think.

Yeah, it seemed obvious. He's had a banner year. He's also had a banner beef year. He's been in the spotlight.
Ever since Roc Nation took over, you know, like organizing the Super Bowl halftime, I think 2019, like it's been more of a push toward, I would say, relevancy and people who are kind of stars in the moment working toward legacy or like relevancy and legacy as like a metric of who performs at the Super Bowl halftime.
So it didn't it was kind of like, oh, yeah, the same way Usher and Rihanna made sense. It was like, yeah, Kendrick makes sense. My initial thought was that he would just bring out Lil Wayne. But then I remembered the Drake beef. So I was like, ah, right. Actually.
It's just a Tuesday. Nikki. Yeah. She can get a bit. Sorry, Barb's unhinged. Also, she's one of those people who's like on the defense, like ready to go at all times. If someone says anything about her or anybody close to her or anybody she's associated with. Colleague. whoever. Yeah, it wasn't, like, surprising.
He's not that old, but he started really young.
So I think it's, you know, he was like a teenager when he kind of entered the rap game. And through Young Money and Cash Money, that No Limit era in the 90s, most of his life has been in hip hop or just kind of like living in hip hop. So I do think he's a rap legacy artist. It's definitely... You know, like classic albums and, you know, like all of that.
So her point about the actual like style influence is a valid one.
Yeah. And I actually hadn't really like that's kind of like, oh, yes, he did the face hats, which I wish he didn't.
And sometimes in like the 2000s. And someone did confuse me as like, yeah. As a stud lesbian. Yeah. So it was a great moment.
Wait, is Wayne a Libra also? Sorry, I just remembered that.
Keep that in. Keep that in first question. Wait, is Wayne a Libra? Because I did get a Libra vibe from him. So, yeah, I interviewed him. I interviewed Wayne back in 2007 for a XXL cover. It was during a drought in Atlanta in his trailer. And the significant thing about that is that the takeaway from the interview, the big quote was, I'm not hot, I'm great.
And so his point in saying that was just kind of like, I don't want to be like the hot person in the moment. Like I'm reaching for greatness, like beyond this point, like down the line. And so when I think about, you know, like Super Bowl and like how they... you know, how they have chosen performers like throughout the years, you know, it has been moving more toward relevancy.
So I think in a way he might understand it's moving toward like, I'm hot right now. Like Kendrick is hot right now. And Wayne is like more like not in the forefront as much. So he's like, he's not hot. He's great. But it is like what he wanted basically.
Yeah. Like, that's the relevancy part. Like, he hasn't, he hasn't, like, put out material in recent years that's been kind of, like, and obviously, like, in the same way Kendrick, that, like, it reaches a broad audience. Yeah. Unfortunately, like they are looking for people who kind of like hit all those, you know, markers like the Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent kind of like show for solo rap artists.
