Which is a beautiful thing for our country, but a very hard thing for our health system to deal with.

Um so I I do think there are a couple of core principles that we we if we implemented would make our system a hundred X better.

One is today there's no longitudinal incentive for an insurance carrier to proactively keep us healthy.

What I mean by that is if you're on, you know

And so how do we flip that incentive?

And not only that, but

I am going to be, you know, I'm employed by chapter.

I get my health insurance to chapter.

Um chapter may switch its health insurance carrier next year.

So all all of chapter's employees may go from insurance carrier to insurance carrier B.

So why should insurance carrier A think about how healthy I'm going to be in 10 years?

They only care about how healthy I'm going to be when I'm covered by them, when I can make money by them, right?

Interesting.

Similar for Medicare.

Uh it again, it depends on the type of Medicare and and the specifics, but many people switch their plan every year.

And so if you are switching your plan every year, why should an insurance carer care about your health in fifteen or twenty years?

Um, and that's a rational response.

It's not I'm not blaming the insurance carers.

It's actually rational.
