I actually I I I find it I I take issue with the name Medicare Advantage less on the Medicare side and more on the advantage side.

Um in that it's not necessarily better.

Um so that that's my issue with it.

But but to your point, the way the Medicare Advantage uh programs are run by private insurance carriers.

So all the insurance carriers we know, United at Nianthem, uh, et cetera, they have their own Medicare Advantage plans.

The government pays them.

And it's known as value-based care or at risk care.

So what happens is the government pays uh these a given Medicare Advantage insurance carrier a fixed amount per person that they are covering.

And it is up to the insurance carrier to uh manage that person's risk and that person's health below that cost.

And any amount that they can uh do below that cost, they can take as as margin as profit.

So that's what value based care at risk care means.

Medicare advantage is a form of value-based care.

Certainly.

And those are very valid concerns.

Um and that we we've seen a lot of news stories over the past few years about uh prior auth denials.

There was one news story uh a few months ago.

There was an investigation um into a couple insurance carriers, and what they found was um most prior auth requests are denied.
