Uh it's unfort it's unfortunately not how it works.
Um there's a different a lot of different parts of Medicare, but the simplest way to think about it is um original Medicare, which is known as parts A and B, covers up to 80% of medical expenses.
Um, but because 20% of medical expenses can be a lot.
If you go to the hospital and it's 10, 20, 30,000, 20% of that is a lot.
Most people uh get some type of supplemental coverage.
And that supplemental coverage uh can take the form of Medicare advantage, which you see a lot of ads for, or Medicare supplement, or also known as Medigap.
And that's what your mom has, a Medigap plan F, Medic Medicare supplement plan F.
So those are the two different paths people can go down to really uh get the coverage that.
They should have.

Those those two plans, plan types operate quite differently.
A Medicare Advantage plan in many ways operates like the commercial health insurance plan most people have had uh when they've been employed through through most of their lives.
Uh it usually has a provider network.
Um, so there are some doctors you can go to, some doctors are in network.
There's sometimes some out of network coverage, sometimes less.
Uh there are specific prescriptions on formulary and different costs of those prescriptions.
There are
Different hospitals that are in and out of network, you get some hearing, some dental, some vision, some other benefits that are partially subsidized.
So if you want to get a hearing aid, they'll say instead of paying cash pay price might be two, three, four thousand dollars for hearing aid, you can get it for one or two thousand dollars through us.
