I do think it's a little bit of a cautionary tale.
And I remember when the Tigers were winning the opposite of this night after night last year, kind of being like, hey,
Why doesn't everyone do this, you know, in terms of the pitching chaos approach?
And one of the answers is it's just really hard to sustain.
And the Tigers have used their bullpen more than anyone in baseball over the past year.
You look at some of the guys they leaned on most down the stretch last year.
Bo Briski, he's injured.
Sean Gunther, he's injured.
Will Vest, his fastball hasn't been the same.
Tyler Holton, still a good pitcher, hasn't quite been the same.
There have been some other injuries in there.
I think when you use your bullpen that often, there can be a cost to that, and it's arms getting fatigued, it's arms blowing out.
The Tigers are back in the spot where they're using their bullpen a lot again.
This is the last week of the season.
They only have three starting pitchers.
I have no idea who's going to start Saturday against the Boston Red Sox in a game that could determine their season.
So, yeah, you know, I think in the right doses that can work, but it seems like there's been a real cost on the back end of things for the Tigers and their bullpen games.
They've still done, you know, spaced them out through the year to give guys an extra day of rest for whatever reason.
Even when things were good, the bullpen days just have not worked to the same degree.
