There's probably some lessons we could all apply to our jobs.
You know, he's he's kind of saying it's okay for less to be more sometimes as a young player.
You don't want to take a rep off in the weight room.
You want to throw 30, 35 pitches every single bullpen.
And he kind of realized that can run you too far in the red.
This is a guy who went through injuries early in his career, learned some of that the hard way.
So last year after the all-star break, he goes to the Tigers training staff and he's like, guys, I
don't feel good.
Like I'm not bouncing back, recovering after my outings the way I want to be or the way I should be.
What's up?
What can we do?
And what they what they did is they scaled back his routine.

I asked him, he said no, I always like to get on the mound, but sometimes it's as little as five pitches.
So five pitches even count as a bullpen, I don't know.
Uh but he's doing
a lot less between starts in terms of the throwing and maybe a little bit in the weight room just to keep his body fresh, keep it at its best.
You know, he said it's it's hard when you're a young player to have the confidence to do that because you're trying to prove something.
