It was kind of rough early, and he got way better.
And then they called him this winter and said, hey, we're signing Glaber Torez.
We want you to move to first.
So he spends all offseason, all spring learning first, and it's kind of rough.
And then Spencer Twerkleson starts hitting again.
So then it's like, all right, well, you're gonna play second and first and DH, and actually you might not be in the lineup all that much.
Uh but then Colt starts hitting, and then it's like, all right, good, just go back to third.
You know, go back to where we had you all along.
Your arm feels fine, right?
And he's with the exception of trying to catch some pop flies last night in Sacramento, which was an adventure, he's been pretty good.
Third, he's been better than I probably would have thought, and that's coincided with his bat getting really hot with his quality of it bat.
I think getting a lot more consistent.
Um, you're still seeing him tap into the power potential, you know, slowly.
I think there's a little more in there, but uh, this guy can hit for average, he can get on base, he has a tendency sometimes to go a little jumpy, but when he's not chasing, he can be a really
really good hitter and he's had pretty good results in the leadoff spot, uh, which is an adjustment in and of itself.
So Colt Keith's been a pretty important part.
So really what the Tigers have been doing since May one is pretty a a a pretty good dividing line in Colt Keith's stats.
Yeah, I I think Colt's always been a really hard worker.
That's just kind of ingrained in him.
That's who he is.
