Well, it's funny because I had all the same guys in college at BU as I did once I got to the American League in Providence.
It was a lot of the same officials would do the American League and do hockey.
So I just kind of got to know all those guys.
And a lot of them, you know, one guy, he was actually a, he was a congressman in Rhode Island and, and, um,
Yeah, because, you know, those guys are full time a lot.
Yeah, of course.
They have other jobs.
So I I always had good relationships with the officials when I played Jeff to the point where like now there will be times when I'm in town doing a game and I might go get a couple of beers with the guys after like I at least those guys.
It's a little different now when I'm on TV because I can be critical.
So I don't think they like me very much anymore.
But I had I had good relationships with officials as a as a player.
Listen, I think especially in the American League, I think I got the benefit of doubt all the time when it came to calls.
So I completely agree with that.
I don't see why you wouldn't at least try.
And at the end of the day, most of them are good guys.
They're just doing their job and they're passionate and fiery just like you are.
I mean...
You know, I've gotten to know Brian Murphy over the years.
He's a U.S.
Hockey Hall of Famer, reffed in the NHL for a long time.
