Amazing.

Yeah, this sort of volume of matches to watch and consume that much football is very challenging.

It reminds me actually and this is this is going back quite a few years, but there's a football writer

uh called Thomas Mortimer, who set himself a challenge of watching at least one football match every day of the year.

So all three hundred and sixty five days, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, he had to find a match that was on and watch it in its entirety.

And I think like he used to he at at the start he was fairly enthusiastic about the whole thing, about the the sort of the novelty of the challenge.

But I I I don't want to put too much of it down

on it but its spirits were fairly crushed about midway through, I think.

Uh for this decision, I think they've every right to be aggrieved in the sense that th there's a long wait for this goal to be decided, right?

So the on-field official, the assistant referee, flagged for offside.

So this was an overturn.

So that made it particularly significant.

It wasn't just staying with the decision, it was actually overturning what had already been given.

And initially we had all thought that Erling Holland was actually offside himself.

uh the lying show that Patrick Dorgu's foot had played him onside.

But I think the real controversial part of this was the involvement of Enzo Fernandez in the goal because he was very clearly in an offside position.

There's no doubt about that.

He was several meters offside.

And the VARs in their in in the Premier League in in their s essentially whenever they came out with their in match description of why this was given, they said that he didn't touch the ball, which is correct.
