And, and it was a very pleasant, but welcome surprise.
No, I mean, this, this, this profession, this college athletics, I mean, you,
uh, you start looking two and three years ahead, you're, you're in big trouble because something is going to change.
There's going to be a curve ball.
And, and, uh, again, coach climate and I both, even, even when I went down to A&M and knew that I needed to learn and grow and get out of my comfort zone a little bit, like,
uh, you have to run your race.
You gotta, you gotta do things the right way and, and impact the teams and the people that you're around in a positive way and, uh, take the next right step for your family, your career and, and in the right time.
those things coming together and aligning here at a place that I care about so much, I don't take that for granted because it's not by accident and that doesn't happen every day.
Oh, I think it's night and day.
I mean, I was down there for two years and I think it felt like eight, you know, with all the, the amount of experiences and situations and problems you got to solve and, and, and then being able to go into what again is a transition year one.
And at that point, you know, had to do a little bit of a rebuild, right?
You're a part of, and you're seeing things, everything at ground zero and,
from scratch and very, very grateful for Coach Elko and the opportunity that he gave me and being able to be a part of making that place better than we found it in a very short time.
I think there's a lot of rich history.
There's a lot of rich tradition.
passionate, passionate fan bases that, you know, live and breathe with the success of their football program.
And, and they invest a lot into those programs and a lot into those people and have a, whatever it takes attitude.
It doesn't matter what the obstacle or the situation they need to overcome.
