Yeah, it was surreal.
Um
There was a cohort of Israeli supporters that could be visible on the television, and then I think there was eleven Irish fans that somehow got in and they were obviously increasingly celebrating because amidst the chaos of the whole weekend, Ireland put up this uh bizarrely, absurdly good display that we haven't seen in a long time.
But before the game, you know, the big questions remain right up until kickoff clear, what are they actually going to do here, Ireland?
So I think we've all seen it now, but for people who missed it, like the Irish
They skipped the handshake protocol and even in the the captain meeting with each other and the match officials just before the game, Daro Sheikh kept his head down, didn't make eye contact with his Israeli counterpart, refused to shake his hand, didn't even look at him, but ref but did shake the hands of the German match officials and ran away and the game started and like Claire, I was even thinking like, you know

Yeah, it was really weird because uh even from our perspective, you know, you're watching a game of football to analyze it and talk about the performances of players, which is actually what we did on Friday morning, gone after the Kosovo game, 'cause that was really a poor performance.
But last night was an anomaly, it was unprecedented.
And the game is on in the background while you're reading about what happened over the weekend because there's constantly new reports coming in, you know.
And then, you know
Gavin Bazunu's statement that he released on his own social media.
on Saturday evening and then the reports that there was as many as eight players who agreed with Gavin Bazzuni when they took the vote about not playing the game.
