But before the game, you know, the big questions remain right up until kickoff clear, what are they actually going to do here, Ireland? So I think we've all seen it now, but for people who missed it, like the Irish They skipped the handshake protocol and even in the the captain meeting with each other and the match officials just before the game, Daro Sheikh kept his head down, didn't make eye contact with his Israeli counterpart, refused to shake his hand, didn't even look at him, but ref but did shake the hands of the German match officials and ran away and the game started and like Claire, I was even thinking like, you know

And then look, that was a bit uh far fetched as an idea, but because it was such an absurd weekend, exactly it was like anything could happen. And look, we made the decision clear that we weren't gonna cover last night's game or we won't be covering this Sunday's game against Israel again from a Sporting context, but we are covering it from a world event context. But that world event context became truly global over the weekend because of what happened.

But last night was an anomaly, it was unprecedented. And the game is on in the background while you're reading about what happened over the weekend because there's constantly new reports coming in, you know. And then, you know Gavin Bazunu's statement that he released on his own social media. on Saturday evening and then the reports that there was as many as eight players who agreed with Gavin Bazzuni when they took the vote about not playing the game.
