And then he could have a bedroom upstairs, you know, and a kitchen downstairs.
And they would be, both of them, equal to the size, to the height of the one room.
And that room would be really lovely.
And I also wanted him to put a toilet under the stairs.
And we were discussing this.
And then he met someone who said a cottage should be a cottage.
and not have double height rooms.
And I was dead against her and I was arguing, no.
And a lot of friends of his had summer houses in that area.
So it was going to be great.
And it was lovely, I suppose.
And then when he died, we just had to sell the thing before any work had been done on it.
But it's funny the things you distract yourself with.
Yeah, some of it's invented in that I wasn't, I had been with this younger guy in New York much earlier and it wasn't, you know, it wasn't as though he sent me back, but I did feel that I needed help.
And I was close to a man called Ira Brown, who was a psychiatrist.
I had worked with his wife, who was a journalist, and I'd been her editor.
And I went out to their house a few times to oversee something she was doing.
And this very tall, very beautiful man would just keep looking at me.
And it was Ivor, and June would say, his wife would say, Ivor, stop looking at Carl, because he was looking at me.
