Uh that's a that's a huge problem.
And so when you when you go in and you ask, Well, how did we ever get into

Did anybody ask any challenging uh questions?
Were there ever a series of assumptions carefully examined that underpinned the military operation?
The answer is always no.

They waited out uh General Schupp, they waited out Curtis LeMay, who were two strident opponents of intervention in Vietnam.
So they just waited till their terms were up and then appointed yes men to replace them.
It worked.
Well they had another a General Decker who was chief of staff of the army and he was removed after two years.
In other words, he he was not renewed, that is his contract, because in those days
