Pretty much.

I mean, that was, yeah.

More interested in special operations than...

And, of course, then they got promoted.

I was a special forces medic, because then in the operations slot, and then after OCS, a short time after that, that Vietnam was heating up, and I went back on active duty, and the rest is history.

Why did I do it?

But this time, I'm quite interested.

This is now 69-ish, maybe 70.

Well, yeah.

The reality was at that time, but now I'm commissioned.

I'm a captain.

I had been come out of Vietnam already.

Oh, yeah.

Well, remember, in Vietnam, that went, you know, it was two years to captain.

So, you know, rightly or wrongly, you know, they say, war, what do you get?

Promotions.

So, yeah, I was most of the time taking any long period of leave.

You just didn't do that just because of the jobs you were in and whatnot.

And so if you were going to be off for a few weeks, it was between assignments.
