You started from scratch.
There's going to be a lot of producers that are looking for an opportunity to get in themselves.
It's a good point that you brought up.
I think it's something we should debate on another podcast.
Clint Fisher had this on X.
And he hasn't been on for a few months.
Nope.
He took a couple months off and he came back and he said he was doing an event for, uh, oh, some ranchers, um, West river ranchers about a month ago.
He said, and he said the average age of 200 plus ranchers in that room was much lower than one might think.
And he was asking why?
Well, the obvious is it takes a lot more labor, right.
To, to do, um,
livestock than it does row crop but I was actually talking what you're talking about like you don't have to you don't have to go out and buy or rent 3,000 acres to make $100,000 you know you can buy you know or take position on small lots and you can use some of that ground that nobody else wants to or you know make a lot or whatever I mean it
And then you can scale it much, much differently.
Old school.
I do like this.
But now you can't tease our listeners and say that there's five steps and not let us know what those five steps are that your son should have been thinking about.
Yeah, it is.
I just had a conversation with a CPA that just talks about how much faster agriculture moves now than it used to.
And when margins are tighter, sometimes that time window that you have to make the right decision to take those short-term profits is only here for a couple hours.
