Louis is a place, especially the areas that were hit hard, you know, a lot of brick homes and businesses.
It's just piles and piles of bricks.
It is devastating.
Buildings that I've seen since I was a kid that are just demolished, whole block pretty much wiped out.
And a lot of the areas we're talking about, not all of the areas, but some of the areas were already under-resourced and marginalized, and we were already working to try to bring investment to those areas.
And people have lost everything.
They lost homes.
They lost businesses.
They lost cars.
And the government, we need the government to step in.
We need the help.
We need help now.
But let me tell you this, Don.
The community has stood up.
The community has been making sure people get food and get shelter.
It's been the St.
Louis community.
Well, I think that a lot of people were saying that, especially initially, I started having conversations with folks saying, hey, look, I get it.
You know, if anybody gets it, I'm one of those people who does because of the way that I was unseated, just like Jamal.
