It was like, there were probably a good three years there where he was like recovering from a surgery.

Now you have to have another surgery recovering from a surgery.

Now you have to have another one.

Um, so it was just like, I mean, when I say they were prescribing him pain pills, it was like years of them.

And it's like when you finally start to feel good again, it's like, well, we have to have another surgery and start over.

Yeah.

So it's like he just couldn't get ahead, I feel like.

He just couldn't.

And he didn't really have anybody in his corner beyond my mom.

My mom's just trying to do – she's just trying to get through the day.

She's got to pay the bills.

She's got to go to work.

She's got to keep up with what she's got going on.

And my brother, he's my older brother, he had his own life too.

And then here I had moved away and we don't have a huge family.

We have, you know, he has a sister at the time.

They were very close, but she can only do so much too, you know?

So, so flash forward to December of 2016.

I think he was kind of past the surgeries at that point.

My youngest was two at the time.
