You know, I you think back to the best Liverpool sides that we've watched over the past ten years, the midfield, the midfield three, where uh at their most sort of basic level, a platform for the fullbacks to get forward, for a platform for the three up top to do damage.
So um they'll always play an important part in in sort of enabling these players to be the best version of them.
I mean, there's so much of football that makes us either feel like children or act like children.
But one of the key things that makes me feel like a a kid again is when you've signed a footballer and you're getting to watch him in the flesh for the very first time.
And that like that feeling of like hope and expectation every time he gets the ball and then, you know, what we want and what we would love to see is like a a a a really exciting, breathtakingly brilliant debut that then
what that does to the rest of the league, but what that does to the players around them and what that does to the fan base that can really sort of energize us.
Um and so yeah, I mean you're right.
I think it's it's it's funny on the idea of the saga by the way, because the saga is almost created by us.
Like the saga is created by uh our need to be on social media.
I don't mean us as in the Amfield Rap, although we're obviously part of it.
I mean our need to be on social media and this like constant need to be updated by what's
happening and then you're getting updated by these people who are just adding little bits on but nothing really changes through the month.
And then you can update it.
But the saga is also that it's took fucking ages.
But but these like the I I I think these things will always take a a a a period of time.
Um it's just that because we're being constantly updated with nothing, it builds on like the you know, the idea of like people not feeling excited because they've they've it's because they've been they've needed to be engaged with and needed to be told every step of the way.
I I I've been I've been relaxed with it and I think, you know, there there are sort of with each of those transfers you mentioned there are different reasons why some of those uh football teams will have done what they've done.
So Elliot Anderson as an example, you know, they've gone out and got the football that they really wanted.
They then set off a trend or a a benchmark for everyone else and you and you wonder whether that's a a strategic move or whether that's something that um just happens by accident because then every
transfer that's that's after that, including Bradley Baracola, they're using this as a benchmark to say like, well this is the cost of this footballer and so we believe is this.
