I got to tell you a quick story.

And it's Brian Burke.

And it's the 1993 draft.

So, Bob Clark had gone to the Florida Panthers, and some of our scouts in Minnesota, because Bob Clark had been our manager, were going over to work for Florida.

So, you know, we were picking ninth, I think, that year in the draft.

Hartford, San Jose was picking second.

It was Korea, it was Anaheim four, Florida five, and...

and Hartford six.

And everybody was trying to figure out how it was going to work out, right?

That was day pronger.

So everybody's maneuvering to try to figure out how to get the pronger.

Well, Brian Burke is the manager in Hartford.

They make the big trade, but Clarkie, as they're going to make the trade and Hartford's moving up to two, Bob Clark leans back and says, Brian Burke's walking by and he says, we're taking Kozlov.

at five, because what Brian Burke had guaranteed San Jose is that Kozlov would be there at six.

And Berkey stopped in his tracks and there was a big old debate.

So as it went on, go back and look at it.

As it went on, Bob Clark said, you know what?

I was part of this.

I was an intermediary as we were trying to get up to get Pronger and we couldn't.
