I mean, that's an evolution of him.

That's not really how he got his reputation in the game.

And I mean, I never was against Mike getting another opportunity.

I don't really know what happened in Columbus.

intimidated by the players and he's certainly not going to be intimidated by the players there are frank discussions that you have to have with superstars uh at times to get the credibility of everybody else in your room and he's going to be more than capable of doing that if the players are on side with it i know zach had a good experience i apparently in toronto

With him, I'd value a lot of things out of Zach Hyman's mouth, including his evaluation of where he thinks Mike Babcock would fit in with the Edmonton Oilers.

So I'm sure he's got a lot of clout and a lot of credibility with our players, and I'm sure he's a strong proponent of bringing Mike Babcock in.

So, I mean, this...

I mean, Barry Trotz was a guy that I thought would fit that bill, too, as well.

I mean, the Oilers have a lot of issues right now, and they have a lot of things that they have to solve through player acquisition and decisions from management that will help Mike.

I think that when Barry Trotz went into Washington, I felt the exact same way about the Washington Capitals as I do currently about the Edmonton Oilers.

I mean, they seem to have some of the pieces, but there's a lot of work to do.

And Barry Trotz went in there and did a great job.

But can Mike Babcock...

his messaging get through to these players with, I mean, nobody has a better resume than him coming in.

And I think we just have to approach it with a very open mind.
