And you certainly can't argue Matthew's decision and based on uh how loaded Florida looks on paper going into this

season it's gonna be hard to argue that Brady made a poor decision too.

Yeah, yeah, we had uh lots to do with it, that's for sure.

Uh uh but uh Peter was in charge.

Uh but he I mean he he he didn't uh have the familiarity of the players and as you know I I watched a lot of uh I wanted to g get a handle on the top fifty draft eligible guys.

The o the only knock against Bra uh Matthew was the skating ability, but you know what, the play never died with him.

I mean

he always found a way to make a play and continue the play and at an elite level.

So we w w we were gonna take Ser Sergachev until yeah Puyarvey fell to us, but I mean Matthew Tichuk is

I mean he would have been the best.

And he wa he told me uh in conversations a few years ago that he was devastated that we didn't take him.

Johnny Goodrow was going.

Right.

Which was tough.

Yeah, that was Oh for them.

Well, I don't think it's difficult at all.

I think uh you know uh w w when I was coaching anyways, I I used to give the first three days to the uh uh development guys and make sure that the young kids got some interfacing with the NHL players so they could

determine how far away they were.

And I thought that was pretty important for their overall development.

But now with the shortened training camp they don't really have that opportunity at all.
