No, checks just don't.
we're terrible as an industry of closing down old things.
And the whole world is struggling to close down checks.
There's a few that have achieved it, but most of the larger financial countries, uh, are really still struggling on it.
Um,
Instant payments and ACH, instant payments are fairly new, but ACH is going nowhere.
It's going from strength to strength.
And it's a critical way of paying.
But checks is just old.
Checks, yeah.
Well, it didn't go well.
And they said, well, what we're going to need to do is
we're going to have to wait until the public mindset changes so sufficiently that they don't want to touch a check and they don't want to go to the post office.
And then COVID came along.
And sure enough, a lot of people transferred over to instant payments, fast payments in the UK, away from checks.
It's my, anyone that knows me will know that I refer to my mother-in-law quite a lot as a use case for digitization.
