I I think so.
I mean we learnt this to some degree with the G twenty, that you know we needed an architecture in which to respond to the global financial crisis.
In a way, what I'm proposing is a new G twenty type effort, but with this core group of countries who believe in the in a sense in that continuing economic system.
The key will be to as move as quickly as possible, starting with trade and investment, but then include
including climate action, uh monetary and financial stability, poverty reduction, energy security, and to have all those things covered within the same grouping.
I think that's true.
In a way, key is that it's not, if you like, that either Europe or countries in Asia should be if like competitors in a military sense with either the US or China.
It's essentially that the security relationship cannot be used
as a basis for coercion.
So, you know, the argument I think is now widely believed in a sense that the reason the EU in July twenty twenty five agreed the trade deal it did with the US, which was an asymmetric deal, uh one that in the past the UU would probably never have agreed, was because they prioritized the need to keep the US involved in uh defense of Ukraine.
So it was a security factor.

So in a sense, if you're creating a third economic pole, the goal of which is to resist that kind of coercion.
What you need to do is for the key members not to be subject, if you like, to that degree of pressure.
But I think the answers are different.
So in the EU, it's about uh and over what period of time I mean is debatable, but creating a strategic independence so that the EU is not so dependent on the US for its defense.
And in a way, this is for all the reasons that Gregoire set out, this is difficult.
But actually the EU's GDP is many times larger than Russia's.
