Yeah, let's be really specific.

Now, obviously in each context there will be a different way of presenting that.

But I think saying above all, we will ensure that the interests of human beings remain at the center is th the thing I would do as as from a public point of view.

And then also say, you know, this is super exciting, but let's not get too excited.

AI Safety Institute in the UK.

This we can manage quite effectively and we can get the benefits while mitigating the costs.

But I mean the choice they face, if they look at where their revenues come from in terms of advertising, they're enormously dependent on not just the US but the wider economy.

So, you know, if you take the example of the big fines that the European Union has placed on a number of tech companies for for actually disobeying competition laws, other rules within the U I mean this is exactly the way to go.

It's necessary in a sense to make sure they operate within our economic space.

And, you know, if the US administration, if President Trump says, Well, if you do that, I'm going to put tariffs on you I think actually that's a price we have to pay.

Access to US market is not worth giving up control over uh the way um technology and AI operates within our market.

I mean, James is right, but in a way, as I understand it, there's a reason that the government is taking this route, which is the Chinese population will decline from one point four billion today to less than half of that, six hundred million by the end of the century.

So as I understand it, at least they they think they need AI for all kinds of things to deal with that, to look after old people for defense and so on.

But the the challenge they've got is that if you drive it fast in the short term, you create

these kind of short term problems.

Now other societies I think can manage that more effectively and indeed balance, if you like, the impact of AI with the emergence of new jobs, which I um I strongly believe will occur and if you like, get that balance more carefully managed.
