And I think it's what happens when you get a man of science who fundamentally doesn't
hold with religion or with mysticism or spirituality, and then ask him to weave a story in a world that's saturated with that and demands that stuff, you get this weird attempt to rationalize the gods as, well, they're just, Poseidon is now a storm on the ocean, and Zeus is like thunder in the sky or whatever.
