I'm working.

I'm gonna be busy this weekend, but it's all good.

The one thing that we need, though, there's a lot of rain in the forecast.

We gotta get that rain out of here.

You don't wanna be trying to make up games at this time of the year and playing doubleheaders and all that stuff.

But it's gonna be fun.

You know, I get a chance to see where it all started with the Detroit Tigers coming in town to play the White Sox this weekend.

And what's funny, with my event that I have going on on Saturday, September 19th, I didn't realize when I scared.

schedule this event that this is also the day that I got my first major league hit with the Tigers against the White Sox.

So everything seems to be aligning.

We just got to get Mother Nature to cooperate with us.

Oh, it was great.

I remember I was 0 for 7 or 8 at this point in time, and teammate Bobby Higginson said, Man, are you ever gonna get a hit?

And I was stressed.

I'm like, I'm gonna be the first player in MLB history to be up and never get a hit.

And then we come home to Chicago, and at that time they didn't tax us on our tickets.

So I had about 85 tickets, and they were sitting roughly right behind home plate.

We're losing this game against the White Sox like seven-nothing or something like that.

I get asked to pinch hit against Freddie Garcia, who I later became teammates with.

I roll over a ball on the right side, get a base hit, and that one section of 85 starts going nuts.
