and calm, you know, there's certain people that have to have a demeanor to be a closer and he has it.
Give him the ball in that situation.
He never looks stressed out, and he's gonna give you a chance to close out that game.
So I'm hoping and praying that he gets an opportunity to get to that magnificent milestone because when you think about it, the players that are on the top, the Trevor Hoffman's, the Mariano Rivera's people thought some of these milestones were untouchable.
But here comes, you know, Jansen, here comes Kimbrell, here comes a few other players.
They're like, wow, these dudes have been.
been doing it for a very long time.
So credit where credit is due.
So all the best to him.
I hope he does get there.

And and not too many players are fortunate enough to be able to do that, but he's one of them.
And I remember him bursting on the scene and Jim Leland that spring training in 2006.
Both Justin Verlander and Joel Zumayer are throwing a hundred miles an hour in spring training.
And the plan was to send them both back to either double A or AAA to start the season.
And Jim Leland said, uh uh, I'm taking that with me.
They're coming with me to Detroit to start the season.
And sure enough, that started that magnificent career.
Of course, he was called up the year prior, but to make the team out of spring training and then just hit the ground running, throwing a hundred.
