So I think when Google first released this, they really went too far.
It was like any site that was ad or affiliate supported that didn't have a lot of branded search volume, uh, that was good at SEO, if you met those qualifications, you were just demoted automatically, regardless of whether your content was good or not.
We've seen some correction of that in recent updates.
The the August core update seems to be allowing for good content regardless.
Uh not the sites are not coming back all the way.
But what we're finding in the data, uh and what and the way we do this is we have this database of a thousands of sites, and we look at the sites that have won every single update.
Uh, these are ad and affiliate supported sites.
And then we look at sites that have lost every update.
And we
Have a few hundred in each bucket.
And we just do statistical analysis on the difference between them.
And we find that the sites that are winning are human focused, just like Google talks about.
They they have pictures of human beings.
Uh, they use a lot of uh first-person pronouns, I, we.
They show their work working with products.
You see a lot of you see a lot of product reviews with hands, you know, actually touching the product.
Product video actually touching the product.
And they're generally not over optimized.
They don't, if you were auditing them as an SEO, you might be like, well, we could do more internal links, we could do more schema, but they're not doing that.
And that seems to be a signal now for ad and affiliate supported sites that.
