Like I I genuinely think the amount of like call and response and like the you know, the handwriting, the formation, the shapes and the listening to another human being and hearing other children

I think all of that is really hard to replicate through a screen.

Like I might be wrong on that.

I think it's really hard from what I've seen of phonics teaching.

And and I might be totally wrong and there's obviously lots of people out there who are trying to, you know, prove me wrong and we'll see.

I just think it's it's just really hard and there's lots of like subtle stuff.

like that's kind of evolutionary baked into us about shared attention that you look where other people look.

That I I think there's lots of ways that if you're twenty five and you have to learn a new skill for a job, you can go and do it on screen.

I just think it's really, really hard to do it at scale with eight year olds.

And and I think people forget

But the bulk of education actually is, if you look at like the hours of education people spend kids spending in it, it is all in you know in the UK context, like primary.

Like kids spend seven years at primary school from reception to year six.

They spend five years, eleven to sixteen, and after sixteen things are different.

You're not spending as many hours.

So like actually for me a lot of the really important stuff is going on reception to to year six.

And I've just find it really, really hard to see how technology is gonna make such a dent there that you're not gonna need human teachers.
