And our rule of thumb, the number we say this will work for most contexts, is to say do ten judgments per per response.

So let's say you're a clerk you've got a class of thirty and you want to get a reliable set of scores for those thirty students and they've all written one essay, so you've got thirty essays.

We would say, right, do ten judgments per essay.

So you will need three hundred judgments.

And that does sound like a lot, but because comparative judgment is easier

It's quite quick and easy to make a good judgment.

And obviously what we've done in the last eighteen months, as I say, is to build in AI judges.

So we got to the situation now where you'll need three hundred judgments, but the AI we recommend getting it to do ninety percent.

So in that circumstance we would say, Well, the AI can do two hundred and seventy of those judgments immediately.

And then you need to do thirty.

Um and you can do those thirty just yourself as an individual teacher or you can share them around with colleagues.

Uh, you know, you can you split it up like that.

So yeah, we would say t do ten judgments and now you can get the AI to help as well.

You know it's Oh yeah, no, I mean we've actually got a little slider on the website and the slider lets you set how m what proportion of judgments you want.

So we leave it, we kind of we we we we give schools the option.

And actually if people are very wary and skeptical of AI and they've been using us for years and they're really happy with the human model and we've got a lot of schools like that, we say, Look, you can stick with a hundred percent human.

And conversely

we've had a few schools in the run up to exams where they've said, I just really find it really useful for my students to

do an exam, you know, an essay prepping them for the exam and have it turned around really quickly and have the feedback and scores like overnight.

Um, so I'm gonna set it on a hundred percent.
