Oh, so the Children's Commissioner is a really interesting post.
It came in 20 years ago after the death of a little girl, Victoria Climbier.
Some of you may remember it.
She was killed by those who should have cared for her the most, but every professional missed it.
So government at the time decided to create a Children's Commissioner's post to make sure that sort of thing never happened again and that children's voices were heard and that the public service, parliament...
from Prime Minister right the way through, listen to the voices of children.
So it's a six-year public role.
My job is to protect and promote the rights of children, to take their voices to Parliament, to make sure no law is made about them without hearing from them and thinking about them.
And I have some superpowers.
I have three superpowers.
I can enter any public building that has a child.
Any school, any hospital?
Any.
And I do.
I can call for data from any public body that holds data about children without doing a freedom of information request.
The only place that's ever tried to stop me having data is their home office, but I won in the end because I would have taken them to court.
And I can get a reply from any public body to a letter I write about children.
This is my, I'm in my sixth and final year.
So I started just after lockdown in March 21st.
So when I came into role, I did a massive survey called The Big Ask, the biggest survey in the world of children.
