And I think mum wasn't well.
And I think dad did that thing that often happens in these situations where perhaps he wasn't as connected as he should have been to the two younger brothers.
So they had a really tough time.
So the one younger than me is about three and a half years younger and then one four and a half years younger.
Yeah, it's a bit of a slippery slope.
So it's a bit like some of the children I deal with as children's commissioner.
You know, missing school, not much money, in with a bad lot.
And then by, certainly by the time they're in their 20s...
both of them i had to go visit them in prison yeah it was difficult and it's and it does it does i see it so much when when people ask me about solutions when you started asking me about solutions with children the family the home the stability those early things are the things we should be protecting and supporting how was it for your mother when they got into trouble they ended up in prison
I think she was trying to cope, trying to do her best.
She was an intelligent woman, so she was seeking support.
But it was tricky.
But she was also going through her own experiences as well.
