So I remember being about nine years old and, you know, the music person came in from local authority and tested us all and I was given a violin.
And before you knew it, I was doing my grade three, my grade four, playing in the local orchestra.
One of the teachers could speak German, so he taught me German.
You know, I was learning Ukrainian.
So the state, so I went to a very kind of,
You know, ordinary primary school, but I had great opportunities there.
My secondary school was fab.
It was a local Catholic school, state school, but it was a great school.
And we were taught by nuns.
No.
Yeah, a few, a couple of great friends.
And we, you know, we sort of read things and thought things and had plans.
Who do you remember best from the cast?
So Anne, Anne Stamford, who's, and she was from a family where the cousins were doctors and her parents were like my parents.
And so...
she had they used to sort of look down on her the cousin so she was like she was going to do something about this and Domi Dominique Russell her dad was a French teacher so we were a little gang of friends and we enjoyed all that Scunthorpe life has to offer I mean we had a great social life it was very communal but we also I think the two or three of us had that particularly Anne and I had that you know we're going to learn we're going to get you know we're going to go do something else.
If I'm back there, I have a very... I think you can easily tell.
