I kind of feel like we're on the preface of something quite changeable into 2026 here.

I'm personally, as a mortgage advisor, seeing it.

It is seven days a week, 15-hour days at the moment, and that's a vast across the place.

I guess as we come into summer here, look, this place expands.

It's 192,000 people wide anyway, but people from Hamilton, where there's no beach, come this way or go to Raglan.

Aucklanders come down here to the rentals, but we've got 150 cruise boats that come in over the summer period

That's a huge influx that kicks in.

And that just keeps expanding.

I mean, there was two of them on the weekend out at Pilot Bay.

Thousands of people all over the place.

And it's great.

It's like you see that environmental change that happens, especially down in Mt.

Maunganui.

So, yeah, summertime here, it's summertime, right?

I mean, it was 29 degrees early December.

It was the hottest beginning to December here.

It's been sweltering.

basically never rains and if it does it's about two hours and then sunshine again right so yeah lots of big big changes around this there's big big event happening at bay park crickets here right now crickets here all the time good infrastructure changes so yeah expect a pretty big summer um in fact i expect a massive summer personally

I'm actually hosting Christmas for the first time ever.

I've got a one-year-old daughter, so it always has to go to my brothers because they've got kids.
