And whilst you were talking about that, an idea came into my head and I want to explore it with you.

because I've just had it, so it may not be a good idea, but let's play it out.

It seems to me populists on both left and right are in love with silver bullets.

They think that if they solve this one thing, everything will be better.

On the left, it's inequality.

Inequality is huge.

I'm not denying that.

I think that it is one of the major issues of our time.

I think it's incredibly serious.

Sure.

But if wealth inequality, if you somehow get the magic bullet for that, we've still got a whole host of other problems in this country.

And again, with the right.

Mass immigration, illegal immigration, it's a huge problem.

It's a huge problem and it's contributed to some really, really serious issues within our country, within our communities, the stability of our country.

I agree.

But the idea that if you have a silver bullet that solves that, the rest of it is going to be perfect.

I'm like, guys, come on.

We need to live in the real world.

And unfortunately, this is the issue because when you are the outsider, when you're a disruptor, it's very easy to come along and point fingers at people and go, this is wrong, this is bad.

It's like walking in on someone's relationship or someone's marriage and going, oh, you're not doing this right, you're not doing that.
