I think the thing with him, and you've had a chance to see a few starts from Soriano.

What you talked about about Dylan Cease, about non competitive pitches, that to me is the thing that that is that Soriano has got to clean up.
He has the kind of stuff that he can command the ball if he gets better command of the strike zone early.
And then throw those breaking balls and he has a powerhouse fastball that has a lot of movement.
When he's on, he can get swing and miss and he can get the ball on the ground.
The problem is a lot of ball one, ball two, no matter how good your stuff is
You put yourself in disadvantageous counts.
I think if he could watch the way that Dylan Sease has gone about his game, attack the strike zone early, and the more you're around that strike zone early when you have stuff like he has, and I'm not saying you throw it down the middle and get strike one, but a well located fastball strike one, a well located breaking ball strike two.
You have no chance as a hitter and you have no no way that you can lay off pitches when you're in a defensive mode with two strikes.
You're a lot better spot.
You're standing at batters box.
Two oh, two one, you're a little bit more selective.
Now oh one, oh two, you're in for the fight of your life.
And so I think the more he gets around the strike zone early, it'll keep his pitch countdown, and then you'll start seeing more swings and misses at some of those pitches that are off the plate.
