You start your new book by talking about falling in love.
And I thought that might be a good place to start, specifically with one book I think you said in the nineteen nineties.
I'd love to take the listeners in the audience to that moment and have you tell the story of what really seems to have changed your life.
What was the framework, the framework that that book provided that really had the pieces fall together to you that clicked and create this aha moment for you?
I assume you wanted to write this book to ruin your career and get canceled and never be employable again.
That was the the main objective.
But why why now?
Why why is it time for a book like this?
Yeah.
I'd love to start the conversation about the the meat of the book by just allowing you to have some time to uh flesh out you you are so careful in your uh writing and your language of reiterating the fact that these you know the data that you provide is related to averages, that there is overlapping statistical information, that men and women are more alike than they are different in many ways.
Yeah.
You can caveat whatever you would like to jump into the the real teeth of the information that I think is so fascinating.
But um if there's anything else to add here, just before we begin to make us sound like we're talking in the nineteen fifties, I would love for you to add anything else that might be
I wanna get into some of the sex differences and I before I do, I just wanna say, you know, the but the book to me is I think your best attempt to understand what's true.
And that's my interest in the subject as well of y you you mentioned earlier that the frameworks that we talked about in
Given given an evolutionary perspective on male female differences, things began to make a bit more sense as to what you were probably seeing in your life in terms of differences on average between men and women.
And I'd love to just put it to you as a a general first question about the details of the book.
