Most of the work has to be done
offensively, obviously.
I'm kind of infatuated with what Nathan Lucas is doing right now.
It's kind of hard to hit .481 over a 16-game stretch.
But I would guess when John Schneider sits down
every night to write the next day's lineup, I would think unless he's getting a day off, Guerrero's the first name he's writing in.
And I would guess Nathan Lucas might be the second name he's writing in.
Like, how do you take him out of the lineup?
And nobody can sustain what he's doing.
But it's interesting with him, Sanchez, and Iago, and I'm going to throw Springer in there because George had two days off in the last four games or whatever it was.
You know, if George gets a day, then all the left-hand hitting outfielders can play.
And we're not even, let's not even talk about barge yet, but it's that kind of shell game is interesting because you got to balance track record versus who can help you win a game.
Like this team is in win now mode, obviously.
So I'm really, as an aside, I'm really happy for Nathan Lucas.
I've never had vertigo, but it doesn't sound like any fun.
Then he comes back and has a few great days.
And then the hamstring goes and he misses a month.
And he comes back like he didn't miss a day.
And it's really impressive.
And I think he's kind of the poster child on this team.
