You know, trade deadline weekend and day is usually a traumatic experience for writers.

Well, I'd have to say it's slowly chaotic since the trades roll in unpredictably, so I keep having to do updates.

But what I do every time after the deadline ends, I reproject the entire league, and then I reproject the entire league, undoing the trades just to kind of see where teams are, who gained in 2026 at least from the trades and who didn't.

Well, obviously, the trades that move the most are the teams that address their biggest holes.

Teams that did a little on the edges won't get huge boosts.

I mean, I've already run the numbers, and the Dodgers are a good example of this.

There's nothing they can really do to increase their playoff odds at this point because they're, you know, as close to 100% as you're reasonably going to get.

But what I did find interesting is that the Dodgers got the biggest boost in World Series games.

probability when I ran the numbers simply because of adding Scooble.

They didn't do a ton, but when you add Scooble, that's worth a ton of moves.

One team that really is interesting in this regard is also the Cleveland Guardians.

They actually have the biggest

boost in playoff probability from Zips from 33% to 50%, which is 17% point boost.

That's bigger than any trade last year.

And that's largely from two things.

One, they kind of loot a lot of the Tigers' lost odds, and they really did address weaknesses.
