Adding those players had like an unusually large impact because that's that's the best way to improve in baseball.

Top three or four starters is has a much bigger impact in the postseason than it does during the regular season, where you're probably gonna start, you know, six to eight different guys in most years.
So you have to like what the Mariners did.

Uh yeah, some of the things they counted on to happen just haven't happened.
Uh they never actually got to replace Clark Schmidt convincingly in the rotation because he's out for a long time.
