You're going to take one of my three jokes. So they figured out and they give me another joke. But the thing is, too, when you're on one of these roasts, right? Right. You got Tom Brady. You got Gronk. You got Kardashian. You got this one. You got all these people that these guys are writing jokes for, right? Yeah. They're calling me on my thing.
I'm getting like the piece of shit crumb jokes that fell on the floor that are just ridiculous because, you know, they're UFC based or whatever.
I literally wake up the day of the show and I'm in LA and I'm like, I'm in LA, you know, this is through the whole woke movement and all that shit was going on during that time. And I'm thinking about what happens if I start bombing? I mean, just completely bombing because I've never done this shirt. That's a great question, though, to have the I don't know how the setup is going to be. Yeah.
So I fucking pick up my phone and I call Bill Burr. And this is how brilliant this guy is. It's like, by the way, he's about to walk out on stage. He's somewhere and he's about to walk out on stage. So I called Bill Burr and I said, hey, I'm sitting here thinking, I'm in L.A. doing this Tom Brady roast. What happens if I start bombing? Right. Literally, I shit you not off the top of his head.
He says, hey, what? My name is Dana. Is that not trans enough for you liberal fucks? And I said, I'm opening with that. I said, that is fucking awesome. I'm opening with that. So then you have to submit your jokes, right? Right. And all the comics that are like sort of mentoring you, they're like, don't do this. This is not a good idea. Don't do this joke.
And the fact that that's the way they felt about it.
Made me. That's exactly the joke I want to do now.
These people who weren't giving you very good material anyway. I was hoping I was going to get booed on that one.
I didn't get booed. Yeah. But the moral of this story is... Don't do stand-up comedy.

Listen, I have a great life. I love what I do. I love the people I do it with. I get up every day and I can't wait to get to work. I'm there early. I'm there late. And politics just isn't for me. I can't do something that's I mean, realistically, when you think about it, you know, I know I'm close to your family.
The only guy I've ever seen that was so hardcore, not full of shit and tells it like it is is Trump. I mean, he really does do it his way. And I don't know.
And I think that's why we're so close. I think that we are a lot alike in many ways. The biggest thing for me with Trump is, It's fascinating how this guy who was incredibly famous and looked at as his business man, he had his show for all those years, beloved by everybody on both sides. And once he gets into politics, they figure out how to make half the country hate him.
They put out this narrative about him that people actually believe that this guy's a racist piece of shit, fascist, you know, scumbag, which is the furthest thing from the truth. Yeah, I want nothing to do with politics.
Well, thank you.
I will lead the UFC boxing and power slap. The country's going to have to live without me.
There's different types of when you say leader, there's different types of leaders, right? there's guys who run companies, businesses, CEOs, whatever you, whatever the deal is, who, who are completely out for themselves. And, and, uh, you know, when there's money to be made, they, they snatch up all the money and do whatever. I'm not like that with, with my team and my people.
I want everybody that's with me to succeed and to, um, make a better life for themselves and for their family or whatever their situation is. When I consider you a friend or you're a part of my team, I'm all in with you and we're together. And I don't know, that's what I think when you talk about leadership. And that's the way I feel about Trump too.
Donald Trump loves America, and he cares about every American. Every American. He wants everybody in America to do well.
