Um so it's not making any um diagnoses about the user has a condition or um the results are good or bad per se.
Um but it is presenting the um the results and insights that really are always meant for users to take to a doctor themselves.
I think certain other medical gadgets um or I should say wellness gadgets um we've seen marketed to our consumers um definitely toe
get a little more in gray territory of um borderline diagnosing conditions for um consumers.
This stays I would say a little further away from that and just saying, okay, here are the results, do with that what you wish.
Um so it's like other companies, it's it's using AI to help pr present and make sense of the results.
Um, and Withings definitely isn't alone in that trend.
Um, we just here at Bloomberg reviewed Google's new Fitbit Fitbit Air um fitness tracker.
We're there too.
It's it's a fitness tracker, yes, and it's it's taking um just key information about your um health vitals and your fitness activity.
Um, but then you can talk to a chat bot about
um how you're doing and maybe get um some recommendations on what you might do differently.
So I'm just using a different company as an example, but um Withings is definitely jumping on that bandwagon of saying, Okay, well there's a lot of people out there who use AI now and are used to talking, incre increasingly used to talking to a chat bot in their daily lives.
Maybe they want to also be talking to a chat bot about um
uh w the numbers they're seeing on the scale and the body composition numbers they're seeing on the scale and what it means and um uh how they can improve or optimize that.
Dinah, what does a scale like this cost?
This particular one is um two hundred and eighty dollars, which as far as wiving skills go is um
uh toward the lower end of what they they charge.
We've definitely covered some more expensive um scales from the company.
