And like, that would literally just say, I'm so thankful that I get to do this on a regular basis.
And it was just the pressure that would, the anxiety would just, you know, drop out.
It's really hard to feel,
I read this somewhere when I was doing the mental skills stuff that it's, I don't know if it's impossible, but it's, it's very hard to feel gratitude and fear at the same time.
So I, when that, you call it whatever you want, anxiety, a little bit of fear, a little bit of fear of failure starts to creep in.
Just think thankful thoughts.
This is a good, this is good.
Cause they're Thanksgiving week right now, but it really does work, man.
And, and,
Um, it is very hard to feel fear and gratitude at the same time.
So that's kind of a trick I use to play on my mind is overwhelm your, your thoughts with gratitude, things that you're, man, I'm thankful to be in this moment, man.
I'm thankful to have teammates who trust me in this spot, you know?
Um,
And then you're kind of like, yeah, I already have what I need.
This is just something I get to do.
It takes a lot of that feeling away.
Yeah, pretty much, you know.
I'm lucky I've been through it one other time, you know?
Yeah.
So in 2017, I walked away from baseball and it wasn't really my choice.
